In this lesson we will talk about some of the fundamental assumptions of the theory of music and answer the following:
– What is music theory?
– What is sound?
– Why is it important?
Let's start …
Music theory, or better known as known as "theory" is the study of music, as it is written.
Known theory uses a set of characters (note), tones, durations, heights, volumes, and represented. / Note that music theory is sofull of notes and other symbols with their meanings.
What is sound?
The Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary defines a note as "a written symbol used to specify pitch and duration by its shape and position on the people."
Lets also look at some other definitions of the word:
-Something (as an emotion or disposition), as a reminder tone or resonance
A record-shortened or informal
-For a brief comment or explanation
-AComments or printed notice, in addition to the text.
So we may assume that a written note, the music is a condensed and printed a brief statement of tone pitch, duration and lift of emotion.
Then we can deduce from this that the music theory / notes (as symbols that are written by this) is a short theoretical condensed and printed, the same music apart from the Declaration.
Therefore, this theory can not be regarded as an absoluteRule, but as a means can be transmitted through the musical ideas in text form.
So what makes it so important?
Through communication and exchange of ideas we can help each other progress as a musician. We could always this is the same recording, but that takes a lot of material that some people have no access to, and in most cases less convenient.
Now for the basics of music theory …
Previously, we found that the theory formulated in musicNotes and comments, sounds, pitch, duration, etc., and that each is defined by the shape and position of the note on the staff.
Notes/pitch- inclination is defined by the frequency, the higher a frequency-Notes, the larger the field, and vice versa. Each note is a letter in which they belong, beginning and ending with a given G.
These places make scales, chords, melodies and harmonies to create
What is a scale?
A ladder is a series of notesplayed in sequence from one another.
For example, the C major scale = CDEFGABC
What is an agreement?
An agreement is a series of notes played in unison.
For example, a C major chord = CEG
What is the melody?
Melody is a series of notes played in sequence from one another, and is perceived as a unit or a phrase. Melody may include one or more sets that are often several times during the song.
What is harmony?
Harmony may be a series of notesplayed in unison, as an agreement could be played a certain number of notes in a row, a melody or harmony is often a series of agreements in a row, played a melody
To harmonize the notes, they need to create a contrast with the signs around them. In other words, an A guitar solo is played with one at the same frequency by a second guitar played harmonize, but when the second guitar is a C, or even a one or two octaves higher or lower, it createsContrast, therefore, is a harmony.
If the contrast creates harmony or dissonance does not affect whether or not the harmony, dissonant contrast creates tension and relieves the other hand, the consonants, the composition is equally important.
But only with a sequence of notes is not sufficient to create a melody effect, you must also note the value or duration.
Notes/duration- duration is given time to each note. And the 'music classifiedTheory as a whole, half, quarter, eighth and sixteenth (actually goes on and on smaller and smaller, but these are the most common values). These duration of notes, but they have a direct impact on speed, as measured by beats per minute.
In every song, a melody contains notes from many different times, we often use a model with a permanent structure of a sentence and repeat it with another order of notes. This is called piercingImprovisation is the most know what it's done playing with the groove positions.
To give substance to a story, you must add that the trend is influenced by the volume.
Notes/volume- band (the most important function in our case, the dynamics) is the amplitude, which is measured in decibels defined. Every note has its own band, the dynamics of creating this volume from note to note, leading over a period of time, or gradually increasing or decreasing over a definedSentence.
accent certain notes or beats dynamics in a single sentence, usually you use these accents of color to emphasize in a sentence. In this way, we give a little 'more groove for the song and helps to involve the public.
And last but not least, the sound,
Notes/tone- tone of the sound, which is generated by a series of harmonics is defined (operating frequency is too high for the human ear's pitch). The stamp is like the difference between a note on the guitar and played classifiedNote: with the same exact frequency, played the piano.
Stamp is not only different, but as a kind of device for the other models have to change some features of the guitar tone of the instrument, so you have two guitars with different tones. This is important when choosing a guitar solo that some have better sound quality than others and some of the instruments with the guitar for a game better than another.
